About Jake
Jake Olsen has a decade of financial analysis, modeling, valuation, and capital project experience, working within the transportation industry. In his role as a Manager within the Treasury department at Union Pacific he leveraged his strong financial skillset as he led the valuation and analysis for a wide range of strategic opportunities for the company.
He brings IPO and investment analysis experience, having provided strategic analysis and finance support for the due diligence team regarding the IPO of the parent company of UP’s Mexico rail investment ($2 billion in revenue company in 2017). Jake was an integral part of the finance team analyzing the strategic purchase of Railex Corporation assets to provide significant growth to the company’s refrigerated food service product.
Having led the internal valuation and analysis of multiple private equity offers related to Union Pacific subsidiaries, Jake brings significant technical valuation skills to all forms of M&A transaction.
Jake is a current CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charter holder, having earned the designation in 2016.
